Atelier Versace Just Gave Us The Couture Flower Crown:

When you start to see flower crowns in the accessory section of your local drugstore, it’s safe to say that the Coachella staple has reached complete saturation. Perhaps Donatella Versace saw an opportunity to elevate that trend, pairing gossamer flower crowns with fairy green eyeshadow and goddess waves at the Atelier Versace Fall 2015 Couture Collection shown in Paris. We thought we were over this look, but it turns out that we are here for these delicate crowns embellished with chiffon and velvet beaded petals—after all, everyone looks good in flowers, especially when the headpiece has more in common with jewelry than the floral section of your local craft store. A little free-spirited fairy babe, a little Midsummer Night’s Dream; this look is verdant and glowy, yet still totally rock-and-roll.

Paired with radiant skin and moss-green smoky eyes (a fresh take on a Donatella signature makeup look), this runway beauty is perfectly summery and eminently wearable. Makeup megastar Pat McGrath luminized the models’ skin and gave their eyes a softly smudged leafy green shimmer (while keeping lips almost bare) for a nymphlike goddess vibe. The models’ rock-and-roll couture hair is courtesy of Guido Palau for Redken; he used liberal spritzes of Redken’s Wind Blown Texturizing Spray to create glamorously undone waves that are the perfect compliment to these elegant headpieces. Undone and delicate, yet with a tough side: Atelier Versace’s couture flower crowns, green eyeshadow and beachy hair are everything we want from our beauty look this summer.
